Island Glass Company Limited was incorporated on 21st August 1980 with the object of establishing a full specialized glazing service to the residential and commercial market's throughout the Islands.
When Island Glass & Metal Company first opened its doors for business over 25 years ago, it was a small venture with just two members of staff. Over the years, the business has gone from strength to strength, expanding its product lines and services. Today, the Firm has 43 employees, 36 of which are Bermudian. The Company sells a complete line of Windows, Doors, Garage Doors, Hurricane Protection, Bermuda Style Shutters, Awnings, Shower and Tub Enclosures, Commercial Entrance Ways, Steel Roller Doors and Grills for Building Protection as well as a complete product line of glass, mirror and plexiglass. The Business also has a complete aluminum shop, with welding equipment and trained personnel.

The principals and key personnel behind Island Glass Co. Ltd., demonstrate clearly their combined talents make for a team of Managers, Designers and Technicians with extensive experience in the glazing field in North America , Europe, as well as in Bermuda .
Island Glass recognizes that the key to its success has been the good people who work within the Company. Personnel are sent off island for training in all areas of the business to maintain product knowledge, and new employees are educated by working alongside senior installers in the field. Recent Island Glass projects have included the Waterfront Properties, the new Ace and XL Buildings and the LOM Building.
Our main objective has also been to sell and service quality products. Maintaining prompt service has always been their main objective and the key to them has been good people. Sending personnel off island for training in all areas of the business is important to maintain product knowledge. New employees are taught how to repair windows, doors, roller shutters etc., by working with senior installers in the field.
